About

Why Velocity exists.

For people who want a week away in Portugal without having to organize it: the villa, the table, the coast and the water, arranged before you land.

One villa. One boat. One crew.

Velocity at a glance

A curated week in Lagos, Portugal, and the coast around it.

Velocity Wake is one private villa, one modern wake boat and one core crew, hosting a small group of never more than 12 guests a week, Saturday to Saturday, from April to October, as a shared week or a private group. You fly into Faro, and Lagos is about an hour west along the coast; the transfer is included, both ways.

How the week is run

Why Lagos, and why one villa.

Lagos has everything the week needs, an hour from the airport: golden cliffs and sheltered water, an old town made for wandering, wine from the hills inland. Velocity gathers those pieces into one week, around one private villa, one modern wake boat and one small crew. Keeping it small is the point. Every week gets the same standard, from the first coffee to the last dinner.

The standard

One week, fully organized

The villa, the boat, coaching and the chef’s meals, with the airport transfer and a boat trip along the coast included, all arranged before you land, with one team to ask about anything.

Coaching, not just towing

Every session is set to your level, with a coach on board and footage to review back at the villa. The standard is simple: everyone leaves better than they arrived.

Room to slow down

Afternoons are yours: a cove below the cliffs, the old town, a tasting inland or the pool. If the water is perfect, we go; if everyone wants the beach, we stay.

Images on this site are illustrations of the Velocity Wake week. Real photos follow our first season.

Destination 01

Lagos is where it starts.

Lagos is the first Velocity destination: the golden cliffs of Ponta da Piedade, the long sands of Meia Praia, an old town inside its walls and vineyards a short drive inland. Wherever Velocity goes next, the standard travels with it.

Plain promises

What we won’t do.

A short list, because the details matter more than the adjectives.

No weather guarantees

The Atlantic does what it likes. We promise a team that knows how to run the week around it.

No crowded boat

Small groups only, so the coach knows how everyone rides and everyone gets time on the water.

No invented proof

The images here illustrate a concept. Real photographs and guest words appear once the first season has run.

Planning the week

Every week starts at a table with a map.

Before any guest arrives, your host and the team go through the coast, the tides and the group: who rides, who rests, which beach, which table. It is the quiet planning that makes the week look effortless.
